Use OpenDocument instead of Word format für Modelica 3.1 specification

Description

Email discussion reveals that people would like to change from Word to OpenDocument format for the Modelica 3.1 specification. Reasons:

  • Word is not reliable for multiple authors using country specific Word versions
  • OpenOffice seems to be much more reliable (experience from Francesco and Martin)
  • Plug-ins/programs in both directions are available Word <> OpenDocument (for reading, not suitable for editing and exchanging).
  • An organization developing free documents and free libraries should use an open/free format for their documents

On May 28 it was announced by Microsoft that with Service Pack 2 of MS Office 2007 ODF will be supported. It will then be possible to open, edit and save documents using ODF.
