Welcome to the developers pages for Modelica

This issue tracker system is used both for the Modelica Language Specification and the Modelica Standard Library. The development of the Modelica Standard Library is done with the help of the Subversion version control system. There are several code repositories available to the public. These can be viewed with a standard web browser via this Trac interface. In order to retrieve the whole code base including the change history we recommend to use tools like TortoiseSVN (Windows file explorer plugin) or Subclipse (plugin for the Eclipse IDE) and point them to the appropriate SVN-urls given below.

Modelica Trac FAQ

We started to collect some FAQs at ModelicaTracFAQ and will enhance them over time (you need to login in order to be able to access that page).

Getting started with Trac

Trac is a minimalistic approach to web-based management of software projects. Its goal is to simplify effective tracking and handling of software issues, enhancements and overall progress.

All aspects of Trac have been designed with the single goal to help developers write great software while staying out of the way and imposing as little as possible on a team's established process and culture.

As all Wiki pages, this page is editable, this means that you can modify the contents of this page simply by using your web-browser. Simply click on the "Edit this page" link at the bottom of the page. WikiFormatting will give you a detailed description of available Wiki formatting commands.

TracGuide is a good place to start.

Wiki pages can link directly to other parts of the Trac system. Pages can refer to tickets, reports, changesets (a changeset being simply a revision on the subversion server), milestones, source files and other Wiki pages using the following notations:

 * Tickets: #1 or ticket:1
 * Changesets: r1, [1] or changeset:1
 * Queries: [query:status=new|assigned|reopened&version=3.0 Active tickets against MSL 3.0]
 * ...

There are many more flavors of Trac links, see TracLinks for more in-depth information.
